DOST-PAGASA at the 2025 RSTW-CALABARZON

DOST-PAGASA joins the 2025 Regional Science and Technology Week (RSTW) in CALABARZON at the Ynares Event Center, Antipolo City.

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary, Dr. Renato U. Solidum, Jr., DOST-CALABARZON Regional Director Ms. Emelita P. Bagsit, PAGASA officials, Engr. Lorenzo A. Moron, Weather Services Chief of NCR-PAGASA Regional Services Division, Mr. Michael S. Bala, OIC of Research & Development & Training Division, other DOST officials, local leaders, and distinguished guests graced the opening ceremony.

The three-day celebration, running from August 14 to 16, 2025, carries the theme “Building Smart and Sustainable Communities.” It aims to promote inclusive, resilient, and future-ready development by highlighting the region’s impactful programs and partnerships through technology demonstrations, workshops, forums, and exhibits.

As part of the event, DOST-PAGASA, under the Climate and Disaster Resilience displays, presents its latest innovations in climate and weather monitoring. These advancements enhance informed decision-making and contribute to building sustainable communities.
