DOST-PAGASA at the Handa Pilipinas Mobile Caravan at Miriam College
DOST–PAGASA joined the Handa Pilipinas Mobile Caravan at the Miriam College Henry Sy, Sr. Innovation Center on February 2–3, 2026, in line with the school’s STEM Week celebration.
With the theme “HANDA, ACTION: Experiential Learning on Disasters Using Simulators,” the Caravan features various science displays and activities aimed at strengthening disaster risk reduction education among students, faculty, and guests. In addition, a discussion on hydrometeorological hazards was conducted by Engr. Vivian Gay C. Agassid, weather specialist from DOST-PAGASA.
Participants visited PAGASA’s exhibits including the flood simulator AR terrain and explored interactive displays showcasing PANaHON and iHeatMaP, providing hands-on experiences and a clearer understanding of weather and climate concepts.
