Low Pressure Area (LPA)
At 4:00 PM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) east of Southern Luzon was estimated based on all available data at 1,005 km East of Virac, Catanduanes (13.2 °N, 133.5 °E). This weather disturbance is likely to develop into Tropical Depression "RAMON" within 48 hours and may affect the coastal and inland areas in the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas during the middle and later part of this week. However, withi n the next 24 hours, the trough of this LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Quezon, Mindoro Provinces, Marinduque, and Romblon. The public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and continue monitoring for updates, especially the Thunderstorm/Rainfall Advisories and Heavy Rainfall Warnings from PAGASA Regional Services Divisions. The next update on this weather disturbance will be incorporated in the 24-Hour Public Weather Forecast at 4:00 AM tomorrow. The next Weather Advisory will be issued at 11:00 AM tomorrow.
