INDEPENDENCE DAY SPECIAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

The Southwest Monsoon and the presence of Typhoon “Chedeng” with international name (GUCHOL) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) are the dominant weather systems to affect the country during the celebration of Independence Day.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming frequent rains over Ilocos Region, and the provinces of Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and the northern portion of Palawan including Calamian and Cuyo Islands. Flash flood and rain induced landslides are expected. Visayas and Mindanao will have warm and humid weather conditions apart from isolated afternoon or evening rain showers and thunderstorms.
