WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR NEW YEAR 2019

On December 31, Tropical Depression “USMAN” will be outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). However, its trough will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan. The TD will also enhance the Northeast Monsoon over Luzon, bringing cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon. The rest of Luzon including Metro Manila will have an improved weather apart from isolated light rains while Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with localized thunderstorms.

On New Year’s Day, January 1, Cagayan Valley and Cordillera will remain cloudy with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon. The rest of the country will have fair weather conditions except for some isolated rainshowers.
