On December 24, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) which originated east of Mindanao is expected to move westward towards the West Philippine Sea. Its interaction with the tail-end of a cold front will bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains over Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon. The rest of Luzon including Metro Manila will have mostly cloudy skies with light rains while Visayas and Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy apart from localized thunderstorms.

On Christmas Day, December 25, the trough of LPA over the West Philippine Sea will bring cloudy skies scattered rainshowers over Mindoro provinces and Palawan. The Northeast Monsoon will also affect extreme Northern Luzon, bringing cloudy skies with light rains. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have fair weather conditions apart from isolated light rains while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.
