Press Release

LABOR DAY WEATHER AND WEEKEND SPECIAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

30 April 2020

Tomorrow (May 1),CARAGA and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms due to an approaching Low Pressure Area (LPA) currently over the eastern seaboard of Mindanao. Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience generally warm and humid weather conditions apart from some isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening due to the Easterlies.

By Saturday and Sunday (May 2 & 3), Mindanao, Eastern and Central Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms as the aforementioned LPA may cross Mindanao or may dissipate after landfall over Eastern Mindanao. Flash floods and landslides are possible over some low lying areas and near the mountain slopes. Moreover, PAGASA is not ruling out the possibility of the LPA developing into a tropical cyclone during the outlook period. Hence, residents and disaster risk reduction personnel of the aforementioned areas are advised to monitor for the weather updates from PAGASA.

This weather outlook will be updated if significant changes in the weather pattern occurs. For more information please contact the Weather Division at telephone number (02) 8926-4258 or log on to www.bagong.pagasa.dost.gov.ph
