SPECIAL WEATHER OUTLOOK ON THE CELEBRATION OF INDEPENDENCE DAY
(12 June 2021)
The temporary dominance of the high-pressure system over the Pacific Ocean weakens the southwesterly flow over the entire archipelago.
Luzon including Metro Manila will have fair weather condition in the morning becoming cloudy in the afternoon with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, while Visayas and Mindanao will be generally cloudy with rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Light to moderate southwesterly surface windflow will prevail over the western section of the country with light to moderate coastal waters. Elsewhere, winds will be light and variable with slight coastal seas except during thunderstorms.
No tropical cyclone formation is expected with the Philippine area of responsibility during the outlook period.
PAGASA will continue to monitor and inform the public of any significant weather changes occur.
